Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Collection

Leading cosmetic brand Urban Decay have recently teamed up with singer Gwen Stefani to release her own makeup collection. The collection includes a blush palette, eyeshadow palette, brow box, lip pencils and of course a lipstick range.
Unlike her style back when she released 'What You Waiting For' the collection is very neutral and is perfect for everyday wear.

Gwen Stefani Lipsticks
£16.00

There's 8 different coloured lipsticks in the collection which are perfect for both day and night. You are sure to find a lipstick to complement any outfit. My favourite shades are 'Ex Girlfriend' which is a pretty nude colour and '714' a deep red (pictured).

Gwen Stefani Blush Palette
£35.00

This blush palette is one of my favourite items from the collection and is certainly on my wish list. My favourite colours from this palette are 'Easy' and 'Hush' the two blush colours in the middle. Dusty pinks and shimmers really compliment my fair skin. I also think 'LO-FI' and 'OC' are perfect for contouring.

 Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette
£40.00

This is my favourite palette from the collection and is definitely at the top of my wish list. I absolutely love the mixture of matte natural colours with the pop of bright shimmers. This palette is perfect for creating a natural eye look for the day and then shimmering party look for the evening. My favourite colours from this palette are 'Bathwater', 'Stark', 'Baby' and 'Pop'.

Let me know in the comments what your favourite item from the collection is!

True Cost Documentary

I heard a few people on social media talking about a documentary called The True Cost so I decided to check it out. True Cost is a fashion and environmental documentary that goes behind the scenes of the fashion industry. It shows the audience how growing consumption of fast fashion is having an affect on developing countries, individual lives and of course the environment.
The documentary left me rather speechless and in shock. We all are familiar with sweat shops and poor working conditions in developing countries. But this documentary really delves in further to show how we as fast fashion consumers are affecting peoples lives. Not only are we affecting people's lives but we are slowly killing our planet, by buying products that are made using life threatening chemicals and non biodegradable fabrics.

I think its really important that everyone should watch this documentary. Its now available to watch on Netflix. Leave comments bellow on your thoughts of the documentary.

The Oscars

So Leonardo finally got his Oscar. I knew it would be his year and thought The Revenant was a great film. However it did make me feel very uncomfortable and feeling a little sick with all the gore.  I do wish however 9 year old Jacob Tremblay from Room would have won an award because tbh I think his performance out shines all of the lead actors who were nominated. If you haven't seen Room I highly recommend it.  This year I tried to predict the Oscars and surprisingly I did well compared to my BAFTA predictions in a previous post. Check out my video bellow to see how well I did predicting the Oscars.

I should be on the Oscar judging panel next year!
